It is the beginning of a new academic year.
Two fourth-year students have joined our group this year. All members wrote down their own aspirations for the year ahead, and committed to doing their best in their research to accomplish excellent research results. We are anticipating a year of excellence and fruitful outcomes.

It was a degree conferment ceremony (graduation ceremony).
M2 students Kotone Ito and Kyota Shirane, and BC4 students Masato Kinugasa and Joichirou Kozai successfully graduated and completed their studies. This year we celebrated together with cake, minestrone, and sandwiches made by Dr. Matsushima. We sincerely wish the seniors continued success in their future endeavors.

Farewell party for graduates was held, and Dr. Ayami Matsushima came back from the Salk Institute.
After the achievement report meeting was over, the preparatory party was held at Hotel Okura Fukuoka. Over a sumptuous meal, participants enjoyed chatting with professors and students.
Also, Dr. Ayami Matsushima, who had been studying with Dr. Ronald Evans at the Salk Institute since January 1, 2024, returned on February 29, 2024.
She gave us chocolates as a gift and told us about her research life in the United States. We will continue to work hard together with Dr. Ayami Matsushima, who has surely grown up through his research life in the U.S.
